SIA Students Receive Scholastic Art and Writing Awards Honors
Seventeen SIA students received a number of honors and recognitions from the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards NYC Regional Competition. SIA Students won a total of 3 Gold Key Awards, 11 Silver Key Awards, and 9 Honorable Mentions. Students who won a Gold Key Award will have their entries compete at the national level for the chance to win college scholarships.
Since 1923, the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards have recognized the vision, ingenuity, and talent of our nation’s youth, and provided opportunities for creative teens to be celebrated. Each year, increasing numbers of teens participate in the program, and become a part of a community of young artists and writers, filmmakers and photographers, and video game artists.
The NYC Scholastic Art Awards Ceremony is scheduled to take place at The New School on Sunday, March 22 at 10:30 am to celebrate Gold and Silver Key winners. Gold Key Winners will have their entries on display at the Met from March 20 through May 17.
UAP is proud of our students’ accomplishments and is grateful for the ways in which their talents are recognized and celebrated.
