At Urban Arts, we believe in the power of creativity to drive learning. We train teachers nationwide to integrate arts and technology into their classrooms, empowering students to succeed in STEAM.
Partnering with schools and educators, Urban Arts provides professional development, evidence-based curriculum, and hands-on support to help teachers create dynamic, engaging learning experiences. Our approach empowers educators to foster both creative and technical skills in their students, preparing them for success in an ever-evolving world.
Urban Arts’ Creative Coders program provides professional development and resources for middle school teachers to teach introductory computer science through Minecraft for Education and game design. The program includes a custom curriculum that engages students of all levels through creative and interactive pedagogy.
Urban Arts’ College Board Endorsed program, Game On, equips high school computer science (CS) teachers with the tools and support they need to effectively teach the AP Computer Science Principles (AP CSP) course. Through this program, teachers learn to implement an engaging, project-based curriculum that empowers students to master CS concepts. Students not only prepare for the AP CSP exam but also develop games featuring original art, music, and storytelling.
