Curupira is a 3D game designed by Samson, Amanda, Jenny, Dylan, Diego and Ira.
Game Academy is an award-winning, three-level game design and computer science program for high school students looking for college preparatory STEM opportunities.
In the 2nd course, 3D Game Development, you will upgrade your programming and art skills to code and design more advanced games with Unity3D & Blender. Your final 3D game prototype will be made in a team, as you begin to specialize your role as a game designer.

In August, you will receive an email from gameacademy@urbanarts.org with the enrollment form link. Email us if you can’t find it.

Schedule:
Full school year: Starting mid October through mid June
6 hours/week
Choose to attend 2x after school weekly or all day Saturdays

Unity & C# Coding
In weekly coding lessons, you will replicate, modify and create mini-games to learn the fundamentals of programming.
Art Forms
You will also learn one of four essential art forms weekly:

Narrative & storytelling
Pixel art & animation
Music & Sound FX
Final Project
Your final project will be a game prototype, designed by you from scratch – including original art, music, narrative and code.
