Summer Camp, but in just a few minutes!

During the 6 weeks of our Summer Camp intensive, 100+ students learned coding, Unity engine, and other digital tools to write, make music and art, and create games.

10 Alumni Teaching Assistants worked with us this summer—folks who went through Urban Arts programming and who have been hired back to teach the next generation while they attend college.

The Cookie is a really scary game ngl.

Summer Camp is just one piece of a bigger story. When our students learn to make a video game, they also learn high-level STEM/STEAM skills. Our College Access Program gets 100% of our advanced seniors into college! They’ve earned $25M in scholarships since 2017 ensuring graduation is attainable with little to no debt. Our Career Access Program places students and alumni into mentorships and internships.

Lights, Camera, Summer Camp! Maya Brown from NBCU Academy also stopped by this summer to capture the Urban Arts trajectory. We are proud of the work we are doing every day, and are so grateful for our partnership with NBCUniversal who are making it possible for the Urban Arts story, and the story of our students, to be told.
